Nylene Canada proudly launches NATIQTM: A "naturally intelligent" carpet fibre and styling yarn.
Arnprior – May 18, 2006
Arnprior, May 18, 2006 - Nylene Canada is proud to introduce NATIQTM, its new family of commercial and residential post-dye able carpet fibres and styling yarns. The NATIQ brand includes: NATIQ Work, NATIQ Home, NATIQ Condo and NATIQ 30, which has 30%, recycled content. Nylene is also introducing Nylene 360TM, its commercial carpet closed loop recycling and carpet take-back program. This introduction is tied into the NATIQ IQTM marketing platform, which promotes the natural intelligence of NATIQ’s fibres.
NATIQ is made from premium grade nylon 6. Its post-dye range offers five distinct dye affinities. Nylene’s manufacturing is unique in its ability to produce a diverse range of ready-to-tuft carpet fibres. As part of Nylene’s sustainable development commitment, NATIQ is available with recycled content, is 100% recyclable and offers a lifetime warranty. The post-dye advantage gives unlimited colour and custom flexibility to carpet mills to create stylish and unique patterns. The NATIQ brand comes with a wide range of marketing programs and service support for its customers and for the industry.
Nylene Canada is based in Arnprior, Ontario, just west of Ottawa; it purchased this site from Honeywell Canada in November 2005. Nylene is an established producer of polymers and fibre grade resins, engineering plastics, wire and cable grade resins.
The name "NATIQ" is Inuktitut for Valley Floor, and also translates as the combination of nature and intelligence. The Arnprior site is located on Ontario’s largest privately-owned nature reserve, and is a proud member of the Ottawa valley community. It has the only operating depolymerization plant for the recycling of nylon 6 in North America. The facility will be proudly celebrating its 40th anniversary in the fall of 2006.
